- Procedure: You will begin on a 10 mile final approach.%n
- % % % 1. Maintain heading and altitude while slowing the aircraft to 225 kias using%n
- % % % % % % idle power (1 or throttle full back) and speedbrakes (B).%n
- % % % 2. Once slowed to 225 kias lower the landing gear (G), select half flaps (H),%n
- % % % % % % and lower the arresting hook (Shift-W).%n
- % % % 3. Select ACLS mode 1 (/) and take your hand off the stick.%n
- % % % 4. Select Auto-throttle approach mode (Alt-T) and take your hand off the throttle.%n
- % % % 5. Call the Ball (Ctrl-B) at 3/4 miles or when advised by the LSO and watch%n
